Classroom Management Coach

For the 2023/2024 school year

Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership, training, and support to all staff to promote positive social skills and behavioral
structures campus-wide. Collaborate with the campus MTSS team to coordinate the behavioral
needs of students, manage a behavioral unit on campus, and coach teachers on classroom
management within the classrooms.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Master’s degree preferred
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish language desired

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Current effective strategies and practices related to behavioral principles
Understanding of behavior modification theories and practices
Professional and ethical standards and practices
Special education and child development fundamentals
Knowledge or experience with completing a Risk Assessments and CPS reporting
Individual Education Plan (IEP) process/ 504 process/ MTSS process
Modern office practices and various software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, Google
platform etc.)

Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing classroom instruction
Demonstrated leadership ability through coaching or mentoring teachers
Experience in creating behavioral interventions within classrooms for students
